Saffron House
Hotel is family run where the emphasis is on comfort and friendly
service. Built during the 17th Century, it was a farmhouse
and still retains much of its charm and character. Situated
a few minutes level walk to the sea and there is car parking
to the front of the hotel.
Combe Martin
nestles in a sheltered valley, or 'combe', on the north coast
of Devon bordering the natural beauty of Exmoor National Park.
The two-mile long village street that leads to the beach is
reputed to be the longest in Britain and contains a wide selection
of inns, cafes and shops.
By day, you
can explore the many rock pools or enjoy a Devonshire clotted
cream tea in one of the cafes or browse around the gift shops.
The village is within easy reach of the fine sandy beaches
for which this area is renowned.
